We spent 15 days in Honduras and spent a total of $2,133. That means that we spent on average about $142 per day. So, we blew the budget in Honduras. What happened? First off, we spent a week in Utila diving, and during that time we stayed in a hotel and ate out almost every meal. Second, the other tourist attractions we visit in Honduras were just expensive!
Our largest expense was entertainment ($785), followed by living expenses ($455 – $400 of which was hotels), then transportation ($441 – 1/3rd of which was spent on our ferries to/from Utila and parking at the port), and finally food & drink ($397).
The charts below should break everything down. The chart on the left shows the primary categories. The chart on the right will break down whatever primary category you select (just click on a wedge slice in the pie chart on the left). Some reports that these charts aren’t working on Android devices; I’m sorry but I don’t own one yet so I can’t test it.
